What is in the name, "Mirrored Horizons"?

Mirrored Horizons was born out of a place of having a genuine care for people. We’re about supporting businesses through empowering their people to achieve authentic engagement and thus, sustainable success.

Developing a business name that reflected who we were as individuals, business partners and captured what we offer was no easy feat! We wanted to develop a name that paid homage to our country heritages whilst being memorable for its uniqueness. We wanted to demonstrate that we appreciated self-reflection was important but was no more or no less important than looking to the future.

Cue Mirrored Horizons.

Mirrored Horizons is about living in the present whilst balancing intimately knowing who you are (self-reflection) and looking to what is on the horizon (future planning). There is no one horizon, the possibilities and opportunities are infinite as are for businesses.

When we began on our business ownership journey (in a pre-pandemic world), we soon realised that businesses and individuals were missing something and that our business model was truly positively impacting those who did work with us. Businesses were missing the ability to step back and truly understand who they were and how their people connected to this. Businesses and individuals alike need to understand their fundamentals in order to move to a realm where decision making comes easily and success is a by-product of creating environments where nurturing growth is paramount.

As Alignment Consultants we have now worked with hundreds of clients to assist them in harnessing empowerment to deliver results, increased productivity, and profitability throughout working with alignment consultants who specialise in the field commonly referred to as Human Resources, Mirrored Horizons will offer not only greater expertise but will prove to be a cost-effective outcome for the business long term.

With over 20 years of corporate experience across diverse industries, Mirrored Horizons applies its skills and knowledge in Human Resources, Psychology, Operations, Strategy Development, Project and Change Management to drive empowerment, engagement and productivity.

Whilst we acknowledge processes, policies, and contracts are incredibly important and something we have extensive experience in creating, our objective is to work collaboratively with all employees to foster practices centered on personal and professional growth to add the upmost value to the culture. Our long-standing knowledge in working with businesses who are going through a growth period or rationalising due to market influences allows us to tailor and implement according to specific needs rather than leading the business into unnecessary bureaucratic practices.

Our model extends to developing policies and processes for small to medium-sized businesses that nurture aligned cultures built on the foundations of empowering people in their workplace. In businesses we take traditional concepts of developing a strategy and simplify the process from the often-confusing vision, mission, values into defining who the business is, the purpose it lives for and the cultural principles that will communicate the elements of “how things are done around here”. 

For those who embrace the Mirrored Horizons way, we take our model one step further to enable the people who make up a business to define this individually. This understanding enables leaders and managers to embrace and appreciate the people on their teams. They can begin to better design practices to unlock the unique contribution of each individual.
