We walk participants through every step from submitting your job application right through to how to conduct yourself in an interview and beyond.
Our career coaching process at Mirrored Horizons is a little different. Here’s how;
When it comes to investing in your personal development and professional development, it is important to find professionals you trust, feel connected to, and align with. We take the first opportunity when speaking with you to ensure we understand you and that you feel confident working with us. One of our core cultural principles is ‘we create connections’ and we truly embed this into all our practices- you certainly won’t find any transactional saleswomen here!
We gently “hold up the mirror” for you to reflect on your skills, the value you bring that no one else does and so you can see your path ahead with clarity.
We begin with a fact-finding/introductory discussion (30 minutes-1 hour). We get to know you and gain insight into your objectives, direction, key achievements, and the essence of you (your tonality, your values (guiding principles), etc). We admit we get frustrated with generic resume writers and career coaches as we believe, whilst this process speaks to your professional experience, it doesn’t mean it has to lack authenticity in relation to who it belongs to.
We provide you with our specifically designed model built on empowering you to unlock your full potential. This MH model will allow you to reflect on your career to date and begin to break down/articulate your personal brand. Involving this MH specific step gives us further insight into who you are as a person and the value you bring to any organisation.
We facilitate a coaching exploration of potential opportunities and how to find opportunities aligned with your aspirations. For those of you who don’t know what the “right” next step may be/look like in your career, we expand on this model to begin to delve into your specific combination of interests, your values, and your skills to begin to flesh out what direction would lead you on a path to long term fulfilment.
Post gathering this essential information we begin to draft your bespoke resume and cover letter. Ideally, this drafting is tailored specifically to a role you may be applying for; or it can be created as a foundation document, providing you with the knowledge to shape it to various roles in the future.
We work closely with you to ensure you are comfortable with your new assets and then move into walking you through the job application process!
When you have clarity on your career direction and where you will focus your energy for a specific role we facilitate an interview to give you the opportunity to build confidence in an interview, practice responses, and gather vital feedback from MH who have over 20 combined experience in interviewing candidates for various positions (from receptionists, CFO’s, to Marketing Directors, to accounts payable. You name the role we have probably interviewed for it). Note; at this point in time, the scheduled interview will most likely be conducted virtually.
We provide feedback with easy to implement tips and tricks to enable you to “put your best foot forward”.
We are available to answer any questions to ensure you are clear, comfortable, and confident (actioning, implementing, adapting). You will have complete access to us for an agreed period of time for any further support you may require. And hey, if you want to practice again, we’re here!

Through your ‘dress rehearsals’ with us you will gain the confidence needed to deliver powerful, authentic responses to interviewers’ that ensure when you find the right prospect the interviewer will walk away from your interview thinking “we must have them!”
